I have a new website and blog. Come and check it out.
I spent my morning with brand new baby Aspen. She was born early this morning and we captured some of her first moments with her family for a Brand NewBorn Session. She is so gorgeous! Congratulations Angela and Ryan.
Meet Amelia. This expressive little lady was born at 28 weeks and spent her first four months in the NICU. She has come a longggg way. I loved spending the afternoon with this laid-back family and their slightly jealous dog.
Those eyes, the chubby belly, and believe me - the cutest little bum you could imagine!
The bracelet mom is wearing has different beads representing her journey in the NICU. The picture below gets me all teary eyed! Thank you Amelia for entertaining the crazy lady sticking the camera in your face and interrupting your nap.
Usually I wait until my prints are hanging and can show you some pictures of them but I am too excited about this one! I met Amanda Ogden at a breastfeeding workshop hosted by the Colorado Midwives Association and she mentioned how her lactation consulting business was going to be located in a new space with some other rockin' businesses (yoga and tea) in the Highlands area of Denver. To me, new space means blank walls calling for attention so I sent her some breastfeeding images to see if she was interested and she was!
The space is amazing! Bright, modern and it is going to be filled with amazing women that will provide expert breastfeeding support, yoga, wellness, retail & a host of other must-have services as well as provide a place to just “hang out.”
It is important for women to see how beautiful they look while breastfeeding and have a record of that time in their life. Hopefully, these images will inspire them.
As more details get worked out I will let you know. Right now the soft opening is scheduled for February 16th.
Click here if you are looking for The Mother'hood, if you want to meet with a most amazing breastfeeding consultant you should check out Amanda at The Juicy Baby.
I had such a wonderful afternoon yesterday taking Helga and Andy's engagement photos. It was freezing and she was dressed in a skirt and awesome homemade crocheted sweater. What started off as just a gray day turned into a beautiful snowstorm and pictures in Anthology, a great local book store in Loveland.
The website for the coffee shop is http://www.wheregoodthingsgrow.com/. Seemed like a fitting address for a new beginning.
I had a great morning yesterday capturing this sweet baby at three months old. She was a champ and in a few hours we were able to capture "a day in the life of..."
I know it is a bit of cliche but it is true that babies changes so quickly and if you don't capture those moments you may lose that opportunity, which may explain my obsessive need to bring my camera everywhere my family goes!
Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories and Love. ~author unknown
I really love small private weddings. Yesterday I was lucky enough to photograph the marriage of Audrey and Adam. It was intimate and personal and didn't carry all the normal drama that so often accompanies a wedding. Their minister, Jared Crowley, spoke some of the most beautiful words I have ever heard at a ceremony and the whole thing was perfect!
I love the face her son is making in the picture on the right- so unimpressed!
